Patrick Faga

Patrick is the CEO and Founder of the FirstWork app that enables kids to earn screen time by completing developmentally relevant learning activities. The FirstWork app makes learning on smart devices motivating and adaptive by restricting access to entertainment applications until users complete learning tasks.

Growing up in the digital world, Patrick experienced the power struggles between learning and engaging with his favorite electronics games and created an app that allows kids, especially those with special learning needs, to be able to combine learning with the reinforcement for screen-time in a way that eliminates the power struggle and teaches the learner patience and perseverance.

“One of my favorite professional experiences was helping a young non-learner get so excited about Halloween that they learned a few new words about the holiday. Every Halloween since I can't help thinking about how they'd say 'Halloween!!!' with so much excitement when they say decorations.”
